Film maker Pavel Franzusov asked young people from all over their world about their relationship with the Second World War. He artistically translated their stories into short films. Here you can learn about Caroline´s perspective from Germany.

When Caroline thinks of the Second World War, she first remembers her grandmother’s stories – the dams in her region that were destroyed by British bombers, and the camp for female forced labourers near where she lives. Caroline also wonders what the persecution and murder of people with disabilities during the Nazi era would have meant for her personally.
