History is made in places, and we want to explore these places with you. For the 2020 histoCON we had planned a rally to places in Berlin that have a historical connection to the Second World War.
Instead of a tour of Berlin, we’ll now take you on a virtual tour of places where history was made – and which are making history today. We are starting in Berlin with three interactive tours. We are looking at 8 May from different angles, exploring the varying significance ascribed to this date and the friendships and enmities that arose after 1945. We then travel to Sofia in Bulgaria, where a series of videos allows us to follow in the footsteps of a revolution. Three contemporary witnesses are taking you on a tour of places they connect to this history. Come and join us!
